Using Chuuze

You must be at least 13 to use Chuuze. Some places serve alcohol or hold age-restricted events; following the law and the venue's rules is up to you.
Chuuze is for personal, non-commercial use. Don't scrape, copy or resell our listings, or try to break, overload or get around the app's security.
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Suggestions, not guarantees

Venue information comes from public sources (the Food Standards Agency and OpenStreetMap), event partners, venue owners and other users. We work hard to keep it right, but places change their hours, prices and menus, and events get cancelled. Always check before you travel, especially for opening hours, accessibility, sensory-friendly features and dietary needs. If you have an allergy, confirm with the venue directly.

Travel times are estimates. Chuuze doesn't sell tickets or take bookings; anything you buy from a venue or event is between you and them.

Reviews, photos and videos

When you post a verdict, review, photo or video ("your content"):

It must be about a real visit, in your own words, and photos and videos must be ones you took.
Don't include people who haven't agreed to be shown, or anyone's personal details.
No hate, harassment, threats, sexual content, spam, advertising, fake reviews, or reviews of your own business or a competitor's.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, resize and share it in Chuuze and in promoting Chuuze, for as long as it's on the service.

Every written review, photo and video is checked before it goes public, and we may decline, edit out personal details from, or remove any content at our discretion.

Reporting and blocking

Anyone can report a review in the app. A review with three reports is hidden automatically while we look at it. You can also block another reviewer so you no longer see their content. To report something urgent, email .

Venue owners

If you claim a listing, you confirm you're authorised to act for that venue and that the details you give are accurate. We may check your claim and may refuse or remove it. Venues can't pay to appear in spins.

Our content

The Chuuze name, logo, app and website design belong to us. Venue data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (Food Standards Agency) and the Open Database Licence (© OpenStreetMap contributors).

Suspension

We may suspend or remove accounts, or stop someone posting, if they break these terms or misuse Chuuze.

Liability

Chuuze is provided free and "as is". We aren't responsible for venues, events, or what happens when you visit them, or for losses caused by information that turns out to be wrong. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring claims in your local courts.
